BLACK TUSK Announce New Headline Dates-11/17 Subterranean

**Check back with ChiIL Live Shows like we vote in Chi, IL...early and often.   We have an exclusive video interview with Black Tusk and more live show shots from their set at Reggies Rock Club coming soon.** In addition to their North American headline tour scheduled to begin this October, Savannah, Georgia's BLACK TUSK have announced three new headline dates.   These dates are part of the release party weekend for the new Split 7" that BLACK TUSK recorded with fellow Savannah metallers Dead Yet?  The 7" is being released on Hyperrealist Records.  These dates are scheduled for the weekend of September 21st in Jacksonville, FL, Savannah, GA, and Columbia, SC BLACK TUSK will be embarking on a North American headline tour beginning October 13th in Johnson City, TN and wrapping up October 24th in Portland, Oregon.   Following their headline run, BLACK TUSK will be on the road providing direct support to label mates Red Fang.  This run will kick off October 26th in Sacramento, CA and run through November 21st in Boise, ID.   A complete list of all dates can be found below. LIONIZE Announce Tour With Streelight Manifesto & Clutch

Washington, DC quartet LIONIZE are pleased to announce that they will be spending this fall on tour with Streetlight Manifesto, as well as playing select dates with Maryland rockers CLUTCH.  The first leg of the tour kicks off October 16th in Toronto and runs through October 28th in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  Following those dates LIONIZE will join up with CLUTCH for a string of shows kicking off Halloween night in Flint, MI and wrapping up on November 4th in Detroit, MI.  After a short break the band will return to the road with Streetlight Manifesto on November 13th in Portland, OR through December 7th in Sacramento, CA.  A complete list of dates can be found below.

Guitarist/Vocalist Nate Bergman commented on the band's upcoming tour dates with Streetlight Manifesto and CLUTCH:

"We are looking forward to going out and providing support on such diverse bills. It's refreshing for us to be able to bring in our fans and expose our sound to new fans via a ska/punk tour and a tour with CLUTCH, who is absolutely one of the finest rock bands on the planet.  We will be road-testing new material and will finally get back to cities long overdue for a LIONIZE set."

For a band with so little pretense, sometimes it can be easy to forget just how much LIONIZE accomplished since their inception in 2004.  From being the first band to play both Bonnaroo and the Vans Warped Tour in the same year to their five full-length albums to virtually non-stop touring year after year, the groove-heavy rock group has dared to do more than most bands could ever hope to accomplish. 

On the release of their most recent album, Superczar and the Vulture, produced by the famed J. Robbins and their first on Pentimento Music Company, the band showcases their live sound in a way that they have never done before, allowing the listener an unprecedented look at the experience of hearing the songs played live in front of them.

With their heavy touring continuing throughout the foreseeable future, one can be assured that LIONIZE's incomparable sound will only continue to grow stronger with each show and audiences will persist in being impressed by a band which, as one critic said, makes even the most notable musicians "shake their heads and wish they'd thought of that."

ChiIL Live Shows was set to do a video interview with Dying Fetus, when they played Reggies' in Chicago last week, but a 9 year with the stomach flu put a wrench in the works at the final hour.   Things were pretty sick around here, and not in the good way.....We'll make it up to you next time you swing through Chi-Town.   We do have a sweet video interview and live show shots with their openers, Revocation, from their Ultra Lounge & Bottom Lounge gigs a few months back.

Reign Supreme features nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works.  Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know.

The band recently completed work on a video for the song "From Womb to Waste". The video features 12 camera angles from a recent live show at Maryland Deathfest held at Sonar in Baltimore, MD. The video was filmed and directed by Scott Hansen (Animals as Leaders, A Day to Remember).   Check it out.

New Tour Dates Confirmed
Maryland rockers CLUTCH are gearing up for the release of their new picture disc single "Pigtown Blues". The single received its worldwide digital release on June 5th and its worldwide physical release is coming on June 19th. This is the first new studio material from CLUTCH since 2009's Strange Cousins From the West,and the first simultaneous worldwide release for Weathermaker Music.
  
Monday June 4th, CLUTCH frontman Neil Fallon was a special guest on "The Rock Show With Daniel P. Carter", which airs on BBC/Radio 1 from Midnight - 2:00 AM UK time. Carter who has been a long time fan and supporter of CLUTCH for years, will be exclusively premiering the track "Pigtown Blues". For more information on the show, click here.
 
CLUTCH will embark on a headlining tour this summer with special guests Prong and Lionize. The run kicks off July 11th in Fayetteville, AR and wraps up July 22nd in Richmond, VA.
 
CLUTCH has also confirmed select dates for August with Lionize. These shows are scheduled for August 9th, 10th, and 12th. Tickets for these dates go on sale for fan club members Wednesday June 6th and for the general public on Friday June 8th and Saturday June 9th.
 
Additionally, the band has also rescheduled the two shows that were postponed this May. These dates are now scheduled for November 1st through 3rd.   MonstrO will be providing support on these dates. Please note that the Flint, MI and Detroit, MI shows are already sold out, tickets for the Joliet, IL show are still available.

On May 15th, the Wakefield trio will release their fifth studio album, In The Belly of the Brazen Bull, via Wichita Records. Portland Oregon's RED FANG are in the midst of wrapping up their European tour with a show tonight in Moscow, Russia and their final gig tomorrow in St. Petersburg, Russia.    They've been out on a mad metal Euro tour with other colorful, toothy, metal favs of ours BLACK TUSK!

RED FANG will be headlining "A Benefit For Grant High Art Department" scheduled to take place Friday May 25th at the Hawthorne Theater in Portland, OR. Support will come from Lopez, Nether Regions and Grant High's own Hell's Parrish. Doors for the show at are 7:00 pm with the first band hitting the stage at 7:30 pm. BLACK TUSK Confirmed For Metallica's Orion Music + More Festival

North American Tour Kicks Off Today
Savannah, Georgia's BLACK TUSK have confirmed that they will be appearing at the inaugural "Orion Music + More Festival" curated by Metallica. The festival will be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey at Bader Field on June 23rd and June 24th. BLACK TUSK will be playing on Saturday January 23rd. "We are honored to play the first Orion Fest. Metallica has always been an influence for our band. This is yet another contribution they are making for music, not just metal," says BLACK TUSK drummer James May.
 
BLACK TUSK are preparing to kick off an extensive North American tour starting today in Memphis, TN. This run will feature headlining tour dates with support coming from East of the Wall, label-mates Royal Thunder and Hull, plus a string of dates supporting Prong and select shows with Intronaut and Skeletonwitch in March. The band will also be appearing at this year's SXSW Festival in Austin, TX on March 14th. BLACK TUSK will perform at the Pitchfork Showcase, Metal Sucks Showcase and Converse Showcase.

Following the North America dates, BLACK TUSK will be heading over to Europe providing direct support to label mates RED FANG  The tour will kick off April 5th in Segrate, Italy and wraps up on May 5th in Essen, Germany.
