Profiles Theatre extends World premiere

of Neil LaBute’s revised stage version of

 In the Company of Men

Profiles Theatre announces an extended run for the World premiere of Resident Artist Neil LaBute’s revised stage version of In the Company of Men, now playing at The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway. Directed by Profiles Resident Artist and Steppenwolf ensemble member Rick Snyder, In the Company of Men opened May 16 to critical acclaim and has been extended for another four weeks through July 28, 2013.

Two frustrated young executives vent their pent-up rage via a childish prank and end up paying a price in the psychological dark comedy, In the Company of Men. Former college buddies Chad and Howard, now in their late 20s, work for the same company. When the two begin expressing their mutual frustration regarding their lack of rapid advancement at work and their recent bad luck with women, they hatch a nasty scheme: Find a vulnerable young woman to court, slather with affection, and then callously dump. They choose a lovely, hearing-impaired typist named Christine, but soon their scheme creates escalating tension and psychological games not only with hapless Christine, but also with each other.

Continuing their roles through the extension are Guest Artists Jordan Brown as Chad, Brennan Roche as Howard and Jessica Carleton as Christine. Appearing in ensemble roles are Dennis Bisto, Alex Fisher, Shelby Garrett, Poppy Golland, Joseph W. Moore III and Laura Leonardo Ownby.

Profiles Theatre opens its 25^th Anniversary season on August 29, 2013 with the Midwest premiere of In God’s Hat by Rhett Rossi.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

NEIL LABUTE (Playwright) is a Resident Artist at Profiles Theatre and has been working with them since their 2006 production of Autobahn. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree in dramatic writing from New York University and was the recipient of a literary fellowship to study at the Royal Court Theatre, London and also attended the Sundance Institute’s Playwrights Lab. His films include: In the Company of Men (New York Critics’ Circle Award for Best First Feature and the Filmmakers’ Trophy at the Sundance Film Festival), Your Friend and Neighbors, Nurse Betty, Possession, The Shape of Things (a film adaptation of his play by the same title), The Wicker Man, Lakeview Terrace and Death at a Funeral. His plays include Bash: Latter-Day Plays, The Mercy Seat, The Distance From Here, Autobahn, Fat Pig, Wrecks, Some Girl(s), This is How it Goes, In a Dark Dark House, The Break of Noon and In a Forest, Dark and Deep. Reasons to be Happy, a follow-up to his acclaimed play reasons to be pretty, opens at MCC in May 2013. reasons to be pretty premiered off-Broadway in 2008, receiving three Drama Desk Award nominations including Outstanding Play. It became Neil LaBute’s first play ever to be staged on Broadway when it opened in 2009 and was nominated for three Tony Awards, including Best Play. RICK SNYDER (Director) is a Resident Artist at Profiles and a Steppenwolf ensemble member. He returns to Profiles after directing their hit productions of A Behanding in Spokane, reasons to be pretty and the award-winning Killer Joe (2010 Jeff Awards for Outstanding Production, Director and Actor). Other recent directing credits include God of Carnage at the Goodman Theatre, Oleanna and Speed-the-Plow at American Theatre Company, Mauritius at Northlight Theatre, The Lion in Winter and Bus Stop at Writers’ Theatre, Aristocrats at Strawdog Theatre, St. Scarlet at ATC, and The Actor, Jolly and The Disappearance of the Jews at the Goodman Theatre. His directing credits at Steppenwolf include Art, Betrayal, Last of the Boys, Tavern Story, Things Being What They Are, Orange Flower Water (which traveled to the Galway Arts Festival), and The Fall to Earth. As an actor, Rick appeared in August: Osage County, The Unmentionables, Man From Nebraska and I Never Sang For My Father at Steppenwolf. He has appeared at the Goodman Theatre in As You Like It, Down the Shore and as Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol. Rick’s film credits include The Tuskegee Airmen, The Net starring Sandra Bullock, Whiteboys, The Human Stain, Soul Survivors and U.S. Marshals. Rick has taught acting classes at Northwestern University and DePaul and currently teaches Directing 1 at Columbia College in Chicago. Rick has been a member of the Steppenwolf ensemble since 1983 and is Artistic Director at the Theatre of Western Springs.

DENNIS BISTO (Ensemble) was most recently seen in Profiles' 20th Anniversary Production of Hellcab. Dennis is a Saint Louis native who moved to Chicago last year after a brief stint in Boston where he performed in the World Premiere of The First Annual Northern Maine Arts Festival.

JORDAN BROWN (Chad) is making his Profiles Theatre debut. His New York credits include River Valley Rep's The Light in the Piazza, Oberon Theatre Ensemble's Much Ado About Nothing, and an episode of As The World Turns for CBS Television Studios. His regional credits include A Skull in Connemara at Centerstage Theatre in Baltimore and West Side Story at Ravinia. Other Chicago credits include Sense and Sensibility at Northlight Theatre, The Pitmen Painters at Timeline Theatre Company, A Christmas Carol at The Goodman Theatre and Congo Square Theatre’s production of The Fall of Heaven by Walter Mosley. Jordan is a graduate of The North Carolina School of the Arts. 

JESSICA HONOR CARLETON (Christine) is making her debut at Profiles Theatre. Her Chicago credits include Mick Kelly in The Heart is a Lonely Hunter at Steppenwolf Theatre, Chekov's Emerging Women at Piven Theatre, and Crippled Sisters in the New Stages Series at Goodman Theatre. Jessica is an original ensemble member, head writer, and puppet/makeup designer on the national children’s TV show Green Screen Adventures (MeTV/WCIU). Last year, she won a National Daytime Creative Arts Emmy. Jessica graduated from Northwestern University in Theatre and Creative Writing for the Media. She began learning American Sign Language when she was 12-years-old, and brings her respect for Deaf culture to this process.

ALEX FISHER (Ensemble) was most recently appeared in Profiles Theatre’s 20th anniversary production of Hellcab.  Her recent credits include The Lion in Winter with Idle Muse Theatre and Peer Gynt directed by Jeremy Wechsler with Polarity Ensemble Theatre.  Alex is a graduate of Lake Forest College.

SHELBY GARRETT (Ensemble) is making her Profiles debut with In the Company of Men. Shelby just recently finished her year long run as Sharon in Chicago's debut of Girl's Night: The Musical. Other Chicago credits include Chicago Kid's Company's Chicken Little and Metropolis Performing Arts Center's A Christmas Carol. She has also studied at Improv Olympics and Profiles Theatre. Shelby’s regional credits include Prairie Fire Children's Theater, Shadowbox LIVE, & Zipper Theater in New York. Shelby is a graduate of Wright State University.

POPPY GOLLAND (Female Ensemble) is excited to be appearing with Profiles for the first time. She is from the Bay Area in California, and has most recently worked with Baby Crow Productions in their gender blind production of True West directed by Remy Ortiz, Back Room Shakespeare Project’s Back Room Chekhov, as well as having played Julie in Vintage Theater Collective’s Miss Julie, directed by Jason Economus. Poppy recently traveled to Los Angeles during the winter to film her first feature length film About Ashley directed by Stefan Pavlovic. 

JOSEPH W. MOORE III (Ensemble) was last seen at Profiles in their 20^th Anniversay production of Hellcab by Will Kern. He is currently attending Columbia College Chicago where he appeared in Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet,The Shipment, Love SongVignettes and A Raisin in the Sun. He is also a collective member of For Youth Inquiry.

LAURA LEONARDO OWNBY (Ensemble) is making her Profiles debut with In the Company of Men. Regionally, Laura has appeared in Noises Off! with Theatre at the Center. Locally, she has worked with First Folio Theatre on Unnecessary Farce as an understudy, Ghost in the Machine, where she was first directed by Rick Snyder, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and Summer and Smoke at the Theatre of Western Springs, and A Voice of my Own and Arrow of Love with Evergreen Theatre. 

BRENNAN ROCHE (Howard) retuns to Profiles after appearing in their 20^th Anniversary production of Hellcab and understudying the role of Steve in The Dream of the Burning Boy. He is a Chicago native and has studied at Piven Theatre Workshop where he was a part of the Young People's Company. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University with credits including The Shape of Things, Proof, and The Odd Couple.

Profiles Theatre Artistic Directors Darrell W. Cox and Joe Jahraus announce the World premiere of Resident Artist Neil LaBute’s revised stage version of In the Company of Men, opening at The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway on May 19, 2013. 

We first gave you the heads up about In the Company of Men, back in January and it's finally here.   This one's high on our must see list.   We have 2 other events conflicting with the press opening tonight, so we won't have a review for you just yet, but we hope to get there soon.

Profiles Theatre presents the professional debut production of Neil LaBute’s revised stage play, In the Company of Men. The script, performed in various incarnations as a play at earlier stages of LaBute’s writing career as both a student and otherwise, was eventually made into the acclaimed film released in 1997 launching the careers of star Aaron Eckhart and Neil LaBute as a filmmaker and playwright. When it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, In the Company of Men created a firestorm of controversy with wildly divergent yet passionate opinions. Profiles Theatre began its relationship with Neil LaBute in 2006 with the Midwest premiere of autobahn, followed by their long-running hit, Fat Pig. In 2007, Profiles devoted an entire season to the works of LaBute that included the Midwest premieres of In a Dark Dark House, Some Girl(s), This is How it Goes, and a collection of short works entitled Things We Said Today followed by the Midwest premiere of The Mercy Seat in 2009 and the Chicago premiere of reasons to be pretty in 2011. Last season, Profiles produced the American premiere of In a Forest, Dark and Deep as the inaugural production of their newest venue, The Main Stage. The playwright twice participated in benefit evenings of readings and conversation to support the theatre’s productions.

The stage version of In The Company of Men is produced by special arrangement with LaBute’s longtime collaborator and one of the film’s original producers, Stephen Pevner of Stephen Pevner, Inc and Company One Productions.

KROYDELL GALIMA (Ensemble) is working with Profiles Theatre for the first time. Recently, he appeared with TimeLine Theatre in their production of Concerning Strange Devices From The Distant West directed by Lisa Portes and In The Small Dark Room with Erasing The Distance. Kroydell has also worked with Proud Kate Theatre Project in their production of November at The Greenhouse Theatre, Theatre Seven of Chicago in The Chicago Landmark Project, Adventure Stage Chicago’s The Giver and Ghosts of Treasure. He appeared in the Ignition Festival 2010 at Victory Gardens and The Pathetic, a web series. He is a BFA graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University.

SARAH HERNDON (Ensemble) is appearing with Profiles for the first time. Regional acting work includes multiple credits with the Theatre of Western Springs in Western Springs, IL. Roles at TWS include Mina in Dracula directed by Rick Snyder, Nina in The Quick Change Room, and Nellie Ewell in Summer and Smoke. In addition to acting, Sarah has also written two produced plays, The Real Mrs Jones and Spurse Change. Sarah holds a degree in Theatre Performance from the University of Evansville, IN.

JOSEPH W. MOORE III (Ensemble) was last seen at Profiles in their 20th Anniversay production of Hellcab by Will Kern. Profiles Theatre continues its 2012-2013 Season with the Midwest Premiere of The Dream of Burning Boy by West Read, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahraus. The production, which was postponed due to a cast health matter, will now open on April 1, 2013.  The production runs through April 14, 2013 at Profiles Theatre’s Alley Stage, 4147 N. Broadway.  

Since the sudden death of his favorite student, high-school teacher Larry Morrow has been falling asleep at his desk and dreaming. Steve, the school's guidance counselor, hangs inspirational posters designed to help everyone "process their emotions” while the student's sister and friends find little solace in their schoolwork. The Dream of the Burning Boy is a bittersweet story of choices made, opportunities lost, and finding the strength to move on.

The Dream of the Burning Boy received its World premiere in March 2011 as part of Roundabout Underground, Roundabout Theatre's initiative to nurture new plays by emerging writers. Playwright David West Read, a native of Toronto, currently resides as a Lila Acheson Wallace Playwriting Fellow at The Juilliard School, and a recent graduate of the MFA program in Dramatic Writing at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. The Dream of the Burning Boy was developed at the 2010 National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. Mr. Read currently works on a commission for South Coast Repertory.

Directed by Profiles Co-Artistic Director Joe Jahraus, the cast of The Dream of the Burning Boy  features Co-Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox as Larry and Profiles ensemble member Eric Burgher as Steve. Also featured are guest artists Marilyn Bass, Sarah Chalcroft, Joel Collins, Vic Kuligoski and Alaina Stacey.

The Dream of the Burning Boy was my first fully-produced play in New York, and I am thrilled to be making my Midwest premiere with the same play just two years later,” says playwright David West Read. “Profiles Theatre has been home to many great plays and playwrights in recent years, and with this company at the helm, I am confident that my work is in very good hands.”

The designers are Shaun Renfro (set), Mike Durst (lights), Jeffrey Levin (sound and original music), and Raquel Adorno (costumes). Jessica Winn is the stage manager and Harmony France serves as assistant director.

The Dream of the Burning Boy is the fourth production of Profiles Theatre’s 24th season.The final show of the season, the World premiere of Resident Artist Neil LaBute’s revised stage version of In the Company of Men, opens May 16, 2013 at Profiles newest venue, The Main Stage.

    ABOUT THE ARTISTS

DAVID WEST READ (Playwright) is a New York-based playwright and screenwriter. His romantic comedy The Performers received its World premiere on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre in the fall of 2012, starring Henry Winkler, Alicia Silverstone, Cheyenne Jackson, and Ari Graynor. In addition to The Dream of the Burning Boy (O’Neill Theater Conference, Roundabout Underground; John Gassner Award nomination, Drama League Award nomination), David's other plays include The Dark Pines(Cape Cod Theatre Project) and Happy Face (Pacific Playwrights Conference). He has been commissioned to write plays for Roundabout Theatre Company, Burnt Umber Productions (both upcoming), and South Coast Repertory, as well as screenplays for  B-Spoke Entertainment and Bunce Media. David is a graduate of the Lila Acheson Wallace Playwrights Program at The Juilliard School and the MFA program in Dramatic Writing at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and a native of Toronto, Canada.

JOE JAHRAUS (Director) is the founder and Co-Artistic Director of Profiles Theatre. He most recently directed Profiles’ Midwest Premiere of Sweet and Sad by Richard Nelson and the American Premiere of In a Forest, Dark and Deep by Neil LaBute. Previously, he directed the World Premiere of Assisted Living by Deirdre O’Connor, the Midwest Premiere of Fifty Words by Michael Weller, the World Premiere of Kid Sister by Will Kern, and the Midwest Premieres of Jailbait by Deirdre O’Connor, The Mercy Seat by Neil LaBute, Great Falls by Lee Blessing and The Thugs by Adam Bock. Joe also directed the Midwest Premieres of Neil LaBute’s In a Dark Dark House, Some Girl(s) and Fat Pig, for which he received a Jeff Award Nomination for Outstanding Director. Other directing credits for Profiles include the American Premiere of Apple by Vern Thiessen, the award-winning Midwest Premiere of Blackbird by Adam Rapp, Babylon Gardens by Timothy Mason, The Water Engine and Sexual Perversity in Chicago by David Mamet, and the award-winning Midwest Premiere of Carnal Knowledge by Jules Fieffer, among others.

MARILYN BASS (Chelsea) is making her first appearance at Profiles Theatre. She was most recently seen in Voices in the Dark at Fury Theatre Company and Wolf at Brikenbrak Theatre Project. Marilyn received her training at Piven Theatre Workshop, the Actors Training Center and Profiles Theatre's Advanced Scene Study Intensive. Marilyn will soon be appearing in a BMO Harris Bank commercial and will be reprising her role in a film adaptation of Voices in the Dark shooting this Spring. Marilyn is a freshman theatre major at Loyola University Chicago and is represented by Grossman & Jack Talent.

ERIC BURGHER (Steve) was most recently seen in Profiles' Midwest Premiere of Sweet and Sad by Richard Nelson, as well as Profiles' Midwest Premiere of Bachelorette by Leslye Headland. Prior to that he appeared in Profiles' Midwest Premiere of A Behanding in Spokane by Martin McDonagh, for which he received a Jeff Award Nomination for Supporting Actor. Eric also appeared in the World Premiere of A Beautiful Spell by Greg Kalleres, with Rare Terra Theatre at the Royal George. Other appearances at Profiles include Jailbait, Fat Pig, Graceland, This is How It Goes, Body Awareness, Kid Sister, "Land of the Dead" as part of Profiles' Midwest Premiere of LaBute shorts, Things We Said Today, autobahn, The Glory of Living, The Radiant Abyss and Noise. Eric is an Adjunct Faculty member at Columbia College Chicago where he teaches acting. 

SARAH CHALCROFT (Andrea) is making both her Profiles Theatre and Chicago debut having recently relocated from London. Her UK credits include Purgatorio at The Chocolate Factory; 4:48 Psychosis for Stonecrabs Theatre; Queen Margaret, The Merchant of Venice, Lear, Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, Measure for Measure, The Tempest and As You Like It for Bard in the Botanics, Glagsow; R & J and Infinite Variety for Cumbernauld Theatre, Scotland; Hedda Gabler with Theatre Babel; Blind Mouth Singing and Transmissions for Birmingham Rep; Vivienne Grout’s Adventure In Another Metropolis for Sparkledark Theatre which toured venues around Scotland and appeared in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; The Vagina Monologues for Cottiers Theatre;  Love’s Labour’s Lost, Twelfth Night, Hamlet and As You Like It for British Touring Shakespeare. She also appeared in Taggart, for Scottish Television.  Sarah is a member of Actors Equity.

JOEL COLLINS (Kyle) is making his Profiles debut. His past credits include Woyzeck at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Xanadu with the District Theatre, and the World premiere of Honor at Columbia College Chicago. Joel is a BFA theatre performance major at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

DARRELL W. COX (Larry) is Co-Artistic Director of Profiles Theatre where he most recently appeared in the Midwest Premiere of Sweet and Sad by Richard Nelson and the American Premiere of In a Forest Dark and Deep by Neil LaBute. Darrell received his fourth Joseph Jefferson Award for Actor in a Principal Role for his performance as Joe Cooper in Profiles' production of Killer Joe by Tracy Letts. He has appeared at Steppenwolf in the World Premiere of Men of Tortuga (where he originated the role of Taggart), the Midwest Premiere of Orange Flower Water (which traveled to the Galway Arts Festival), and the World Premiere of Wendall Greene. He has also been seen at the Goodman in The Shawl and Home as part of the David Mamet Festival, American Theatre Company's Speed the Plow and Oleanna as part of the Mamet Repertory, as well as Jim Jones in the Midwest Premiere of The People's Temple, and the World Premiere of Martin Furey's Shot at TimeLine, among others. In addition to Killer Joe, Darrell received Joseph Jefferson Awards for Principal Actor for his work in Profiles' productions of Blackbird, Some Voices, and Eye of God. He has also received two After Dark Awards for Outstanding Performance for Profiles' productions of Popcorn, and Carnal Knowledge.

VIC KULIGOSKI (Dane) returns to Profiles after appearing in their World premiere production of Graceland by Ellen Fairey. Vic is from the Chicago area and attends Columbia College Chicago majoring in theatre. Most recently, he has performed at Columbia College in their production of Columbinus and Spotlight Theatre’s production of Talk Radio.  This past summer, Vic appeared in the independent film, Maydays. 

ALAINA STACEY (Rachel) is joining Profiles Theatre for her first professional production. She is a senior at Whitney Young High School and has been participating in theater since her freshman year, appearing in productions of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Women and Wallace, Jugger’s Rain, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood, as well as working backstage for several school productions. Outside of theater Alaina is a singer/songwriter involved with many groups around the city, performing at various venues such as Schuba’s Tavern and Uncommon Ground.

It's 10 days into the new year and if you're anything like us, you're just now recovering from the "Holidaze".   December was a whirlwind of excellent live theatre productions and holiday shows in Chicago.   Our only regret is that it's over all too soon.   

As luck would have it, though, you can still see one of our absolute favs.  Hellcab is still taking fares and kicking ass through 1/27.  

Of course we've been promoting this excellent remount since before we saw it on opening night, but if by some chance you haven't managed to see it yet, what are you waiting for?!    This show is almost worth seeing just for the impressively over the top 33 passenger curtain call alone!   (The original was done with one driver and just 6 ensemble members cycling through as new passengers.)  Konstantin Khrustov is stellar in the cabbie role.   And Profiles intimate space firmly places the audience right there in the action.

Hellcab is highly recommended and makes our ChiIL Picks list for the holidays and beyond.    It's a perfect antidote to the saccharine sweetness and falsehood of Christmas consumerism.   Sure it takes place on Christmas Eve, but the insights into human nature, the hilarious absurdity, gritty reality, and the tenderness are perennial.    Language and mature themes make this one for the older kids (AKA:  adults) and teens.

Profiles Theatre announces the extension of its hit 20^th Anniversary production of Hellcab by Will Kern, directed by Profiles Co-Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox.  All cast members are continuing in their roles including Konstantin Khrustov as the driver and the original cast of 33 as the passengers. The production has been selling out since its opening on November 15, 2012 and has now been extended an additional five weeks, through January 27, 2013, at Profiles Theatre’s Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway in Chicago.

Hellcab presents a day in the life story of a cab driver in for the longest night of his life as he transports a bizarre and mysterious collection of customers through the gritty streets of Chicago. Playwright Will Kern draws from personal experience as a former cab driver to create this alternately frightening, hilarious and poignant journey. Throughout his long shift, the eclectic collection of passengers includes a trio of drug-addicts, a smug lawyer, a born-again couple, a randy couple on their way to a motel. Set during a bitter cold Christmas Eve, Hellcab presents a rear-view image mirroring the passing parade of humanity.

Profiles presents the 20^th Anniversary production of Kern’s landmark play. First produced as a late-night show by Famous Door Theatre in 1992, the play was originally scheduled for twelve performances and ended up running for over nine years, becoming one of the longest running shows in Chicago theatre history. 

Hellcab has been performed all over the U.S. and abroad, including Scotland, Israel, Singapore, and Ireland. The play won numerous awards, including a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Festival and was adapted for the screen by Mr. Kern in 1998.

Profiles Theatre announces the World Premiere of Neil LaBute’s revised stage version of In the Company of Men Profiles Theatre Artistic Directors Darrell W. Cox and Joe Jahraus announce the World premiere of Resident Artist Neil LaBute’s revised stage version of In the Company of Men, opening at The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway. In the Company of Men, directed by Profiles Resident Artist and Steppenwolf ensemble member Rick Snyder, runs May 10-June 30, 2013.   The previously announced production of Neil LaBute’s The Break of Noon will be performed at a later date, to be announced. Profiles Theatre presents the professional debut production of Neil LaBute’s revised stage play, In the Company of Men. The script, performed in various incarnations as a play at earlier stages of LaBute’s writing career as both a student and otherwise, was eventually made into the acclaimed film released in 1997 launching the careers of star Aaron Eckhart and Neil LaBute as a filmmaker and playwright. When it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, In the Company of Men created a firestorm of controversy with wildly divergent yet passionate opinions. It received the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay, the Filmmaker's Trophy at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival and The New York Film Critics Award for Best First Feature. Two frustrated young executives vent their pent-up rage via a childish prank and end up paying a price in the psychological dark comedy, In the Company of Men. Former college buddies Chad and Howard, now in their late 20s, work for the same company. When the two begin expressing their mutual frustration regarding their lack of rapid advancement at work and their recent bad luck with women, they hatch a nasty scheme to be enacted over an upcoming six-week-long business trip: Find a vulnerable young woman to court, slather with affection, and then callously dump. They choose a lovely, hearing-impaired typist named Christine, but soon their scheme creates escalating tension and psychological games not only with hapless Christine, but also with each other. After performing at 4147 North Broadway for more than two decades, Profiles acquired an adjacent theatre at 4139 North Broadway in 2012. Profiles’ new theatre, The Main Stage, with its larger seating capacity, increased performance space and higher ceilings, accommodates more ambitious and technically demanding productions. Their long-time venue, renamed The Alley Stage, continues as the home for plays strengthened by a more intimate staging. Driven by an undiminished appetite for creating honest and resonant theatre, Profiles still seeks to present work that illuminates the determination and resiliency of the human spirit.
