“Gimme Something Good” will make its network TV debut tomorrow night on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, giving the audience in the studio and at home a taste of what’s been getting the media riled up like so:

“scorches with Stonesian bravado and a fist-pump-worthy chorus" – ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY The Must List

“If 'Gimme Something Good' – the lead single, is any indication, the album will contain more of the blues-tinged, post–college rock that earned him fans in the first place.” — ROLLING STONE

"This thing is a total knockout. Give it a listen.” — STEREOGUM
"a gritty guitar-driven jam perfect for cranking on the stereo while summertime cruising up Main Street.” — TIME

This year has been an impressive one for the Nashville five-piece, who released their Jay Joyce (Cage the Elephant, Emmylou Harris)-produced debut album August 13th via Warner Bros Records. They have played well over 200 shows, with Gary Clark Jr, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Dawes, Dwight Yoakam and ZZ Ward,.and more, and stopped at the Austin City Limits festival,  San Francisco's Outside Lands, Sasquatch and Hangout Festivals, Milwaukee's Summerfest, Louisville's Forecastle Festival and Nashville's Live on the Green. The Wild Feathers performed their acclaimed single "The Ceiling," which the Minneapolis Star Tribune called "perhaps the most elegantly crafted song of the year" on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and the track just won the Sirius Spectrum Award for Best Song Discovery.

Amazon has selected The Wild Feathers for their "Rising Stars of 2014" campaign, which runs from December 25th to January 31stThe program features a free download of the band's new single "Got It Wrong," which they performed on Rachael Ray December 10th.

Critical response to The Wild Feathers has been effusive. Rolling Stone declared the album "something that fans of heartland artists like the Avett Brothers and My Morning Jacket will appreciate while it recalls the magic of Tom Petty and Neil Young," Relix called it "boisterous and impassioned, reverberating with a raw, live quality," Baeble Music said, "Electrifying, soul stirring, and utterly reverent rock and roll...they're The Wild Feathers and they're pretty much here to kick your ass," and  the NY Daily News gave the album four stars, declaring "the Feathers have the vulnerability and beauty of the Jayhawks...the chemistry they found has the 'eureka' effect of the great American harmony-rock bands, from Buffalo Springfield to Poco."

CLUTCH Postpones September Tour Dates

Clutch is one of our favorites.  ChiIL Live Shows sends healing energy your way, Neil!   Take care of yourself and do what you've gotta do.   Your fans have got your back and we'll all still be here when you've healed.   Check out our original video interview with Neil Fallon right here.

Maryland rockers CLUTCH have been forced to postpone the September tour dates of the "Earth Rocker" North American Tour.  This is due to a health issue with singer Neil Fallon.  Most of the shows will be rescheduled and dates are listed below.  Support on the rescheduled shows will remain the same and come from The Sword and Crobot.

Tickets that were already purchased for the dates in September will be honored for the rescheduled dates in January.  Unfortunately one of the shows could not be rescheduled and has been cancelled. This is show is Vienna, WV on 9/21. The shows scheduled for South Burlington, VT on 9/24 and Long Island, NY on 9/27 will be rescheduled for a later date, please hold on to your tickets. Refunds for the West Virginia are available at point of purchase.

The band will still be playing "The Shindig" festival on September 14th in Baltimore, MD. All dates on the October - November leg of the tour will go on as scheduled and planned.  The Hampton Beach, NH date originally in September is now scheduled for October 25.  Unfortunately The Sword and Crobot will not be appearing on this new date in Hampton Beach, NH.  News about support will be released in the coming weeks.

CLUTCH frontman Neil Fallon gave an update on his condition:

"Dear friends, this week I've learned that a childhood injury to the neck, a genetic predisposition for spinal disease, and 20 some years of head banging will exact a toll. I've been diagnosed with an ugly case of cervical spinal stenosis and two herniated discs.

In some instances these conditions can be treated non-surgically.  This is not the case for me. I have been advised by several neurosurgeons that my spinal cord has already been damaged and that I risk further damage were I not to address the situation. For this reason, I've decided to take care of this ASAP. Believe me, rescheduling a tour turns my stomach, but I believe this is the wisest choice given the prognosis.

On Tuesday I will undergo surgery. The procedure will fuse three vertebrae together with a small titanium plate. I have faith that this surgery will go as well as it can, and that I will be back in the saddle for our October-November tour.  On behalf of my spine, deepest apologies to those who had been looking forward to seeing CLUTCH over the next two weeks. We'll make it up to you."

Health and Happiness,

Neil

Earth Rocker was released March 19th via the band's label Weathermaker Music.  The album entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #15 achieving the band's highest chart position to date.  The album then proceeded to hold its own on the Billboard Top 200 for a total of 5 weeks. The album also came in at #1 on the Hard Music Chart and #3 on the Independent Album Chart.  The digital demand for this album continues to be very strong. In the week of release Earth Rocker shot to #4 on iTunes' overall Top 100 album charts and was #1 in their rock chart.

Earth Rocker is available for purchase at the CLUTCH Merch Store

BLACK TUSK Announce European Tour #tourdates #originalphotos #videointerview #metal

Black Tusk is one of our favorites in the metal genre and maybe the only "swamp metal" band around.   Here's our original video interview with the guys and our live show shots from a number of their Chicago gigs over the past few years.

BLACK TUSK have confirmed that they will return to Europe this autumn to tour on the back of their brand new EP Tend No Wounds. The trio from Savannah, Georgia will be supported on all dates by Fight Amp.

The band commented:

"BLACK TUSK is excited to be returning to Europe and the UK to support our new EP Tend No Wounds.  This will be our first time extensively touring the UK as well and we are excited to see new cities show up on the routing that aren't usually there.  We couldn't be sharing the stage with a bunch of better dudes than Fight Amp and we are looking forward to slaying some shows and drinking some beers with all our buddies on the other side of the pond!"

Additionally, Brutal Panda Records has repressed the long out-of-print BLACK TUSK / Fight Amp split 7", featuring artwork from Baroness frontman John Baizley, specifically for the tour.  The split is also available for order here. http://brutalpandarecords.com/shop/black-tusk-fight-amp-split-7-vinyl/

I had the pleasure of shooting Spiritualized for ChiIL Live Shows at Lincoln Hall in Chicago 7/12/13.   Check out our original show shots right here.

 Spiritualized

Sweet Heart Sweet Light

"When you make a record, it has to be the single most important thing in your world. This time around, I wanted to do something that encompassed all I love in rock 'n' roll music. It's got everything from Brtzmann and Berry right through to Dennis and Brian Wilson.  I'm obsessed with music and the way you put it together and I don't believe there are any rules." So says, J. Spaceman, commenting on the recording of his new album, Sweet Heart Sweet Light, which was released on Mississippi-based independent Fat Possum in March 2012.

Recorded over the past two years in Wales, Los Angeles and Reykjavik, and mixed for a year in the confines of his own home, Sweet Heart Sweet Light was Spiritualized's seventh studio album and the first release since last year's epic Radio City Music Hall rendering of their 1997 game changer Ladies In Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space

Coming four years after release of the internationally acclaimed Songs In A&E,Sweet Heart Sweet Light was one of the most eagerly anticipated releases of 2012. Taking musical risks is a hallmark of Spiritualized's outlook.

Witness them playing the new album, unannounced, from start to finish live at London's historic Royal Albert Hall - something unheard of in today's clamour for instant hit gratification. As J.Spacemen says "I don't believe there are any rules" and this album will testify to that.
